Dr. Wang

Dr. Wang, a native Austinite, graduated from Westlake High School and the University of Texas at Austin's Plan II Honors program. She pursued her medical studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency through the UTMB Austin program. Notably, she was among the first resident physicians in the nation trained on the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.

Dr. Wang practiced as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Ob/Gyn residency in Austin where she was the Director of Skills and Simulation, and introduced Single Site Laparoscopic surgery
into the program.

Dr. Wang was recognized with the 2011 National Faculty Award for Excellence in resident education presented by the UTSW Austin OB/GYN residency program, is the 2009 recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and is the 2022 recipient of the Frist Humanitarian Award from HCA Healthcare.

  • Diana Wang, MD serves women from throughout Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas at Violet Crown OB/GYN. Dr. Wang has special interest and skill in minimally invasive surgery, including single-incision laparoscopic surgery, and is committed to staying on the cutting edge of advanced surgical techniques to better women’s health.
